Specialty Courses

Specialty Training Courses offers divers the opportunity to become more knowledgeable and skilled about a specific type of diving based on the diver’s interest or simple curiosity. Whether fascinated by ship wrecks or marine life or simply feeling the thrill of night diving, specialty courses will let you experience new adventures!

Challenge yourself and earn your “Master Scuba Diver” level (the highest recreational level in diving) by earning five PADI Specialty ratings and completing the PADI Rescue Diver Program.

Below is a list of the specialty courses we offer at Sharkys Eco diving: (All dives required for courses will require the additional cost of the dives.)

DEEP DIVER - $180.00 (Book/Video required at additional cost)

The Deep Diver Specialty takes you deep to see things (like sunken boats) that others can only dream about. Your will learn deep dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and hazards. Requires four dives that range from 60 – 130 feet.

UNDERWATER NAVIGATOR - $165.00 (Book/Video required at additional cost)

Get back to your boat without a long-surface swim by learning the proper navigation techniques! Know where you are at all times!! Required three dives.

NIGHT DIVER - $140.00 (Book/Video required at additional cost)

Experience and explore the ocean and sea life as it exists in its nocturnal state. Learn about night dive planning, equipment and navigation and discover firsthand how alive the ocean becomes after the sun goes down. Required three night dives.

SEARCH & RECOVERY - $185.00 (Book/Video required at additional cost)

Learn to search and recover gear you might have lost or any other treasure and learn how to bring it up to the surface safely and securely. Requires four dives.

WRECK DIVER - $265.00 (Book/Video required at additional cost)

Challenge yourself to discover and explore sunken vessels, including ships and planes. The Wreck Diver course provides you with the opportunity to explore the past. Requires 4 dives.

DRY SUIT DIVER - $155.00 (Book/Video required at additional cost)

Switch your wet suit for a dry suit that will not only keep you warm but will make your diving experience more enjoyable. Learn the proper care and donning of the dry suit. Requires pool orientation and 2 dives.

ENRICHED AIR - $125.00 (Book included and /Video provided)

Dives are optional at additional cost. Talk to your Instructor or call the shop.

PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY - $100.00

Become a great diver by learning how to precisely weight yourself for optimum control, poise and balance. You learn to ascend and descend so effortlessly, it seems like you only think about it and it happens. This certification counts towards your Master SCUBA Diver rating. Requires 2 dives.

EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST - $65.00

Learn basic fundamentals of equipment features and functions, along with some basic fixes.

SUUNTO COMPUTER ASSISTED DIVING - $25.00

Learn the features and benefits of your Suunto Computer.

PROJECT A.W.A.R.E. - $20.00

Learn how you as an individual can help in the preservation and conservation of our world ecosystems.

PRIMARY AND SECONDARY CARE (CPR AND FIRST AID COMBO) - $100.00 (Book included and Video provided)

DAN CLASSES - $50.00 ea. (Book required at additional cost and Video provided)

Take one, take them all: Oxygen, Advanced Oxygen, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillator), Hazardous Marine Life. DAN courses teach different types of oxygen equipment available, proper administration and handling techniques, How to take care of Injuries, etc.
